    Hello,

I’m using the latest version of WordPress with OceanWP. I installed and customized the Travel demo. Unfortunately, I cannot use Elementor on my server, since PHP is too old. I use Beaver Builder instead.

The theme, however, still works very well! But I am experiencing a problem with custom images in the page header and the sidebar’s oceanwp-about-me widget. I can upload an image in the admin panel and it also shows up in the config area, but as soon as I save my settings, the file is gone. It does not appear on the page, unless I use custom CSS to include it.

Is it not possible to set custom images in the free version of OceanWP? Do I need a payed plug-in for this or does it only work with Elementor? Unfortunately, I get no error message.

Uploading and including images on a regular page or blog post works fine. I can even set a logo in customizer with no problems. For header image and about-me, it does not work, though.

    Kind regards,
    ActronAB

Hello, if your PHP version is lower than PHP 5.6, you will encounter a lot of problems like this, I strongly recommend you go to a web host that offers PHP 5.6 and 7.0, so if so, directly put PHP 7.0.

For the time being, I’m stuck with PHP 5.3. My hoster will update the server by end of this year. But generally speaking, image uploads for header images and the about-me widget should be possible, event with the free OceanWP theme without any payed add-ons? And the feature does not depend on Elementor and should work with Beaver Builder as well?

Hello, PHP 5.3 is a very old version, I do not know at all what is possible or not. A lot of things cannot work properly with this PHP version.
When you will switch to PHP 7.0, you will see the difference ??

Hello, I close this topic as your problem is your PHP version, it will be resolved when your host will update it.
Feel free to open a new one if you encounter another issue ??
