I manage several WordPress websites and after updating to 5.9.2, one of them no longer has access to the Custom HTML block in the Gutenberg editor. It’s bizarre as I’ve disabled all plugins and changed the theme, and the issue still persists.

Existing Custom HTML blocks are still present, but Custom HTML no longer shows up as an option in the block menu, and attempts to copy existing Custom HTML blocks simply don’t work, as they won’t paste or duplicate.

Did anything change in recent versions regarding this block? I haven’t experienced this issue on any other site and wondering if I’m missing something obvious.

    Thank you!

    That means it’s a site-specific issue.

Here are some additional troubleshooting tips including re-updating , etc.: Please review 5.9 Master List and attempt troubleshooting outlined therein.

Turns out it was just hidden in the Gutenberg settings.
