• So I’m trying to insert a hard coded block of html code into some pages on my Generate press site.

I wanted to hard code the html in an element as a hook, and then call the element when needed.

There is a Hook option called Custom Hook, and you can name it. But I don’t see how I can call it up in the actual “Edit Page” on a page.

Would be nice if it could be called/inserted when needed. I’m trying to avoid having to hard code in these lines of code every time I need this into the actual page’s code. That way, if I need to update the code later, I can change it in the element, and it updates across the entire site.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

The Element module is a premium feature so we aren’t allowed to support it in the free theme support forum here – it’s a WP rule.

Please open a support topic in our premium forum and I can explain how the custom hook work: https://generatepress.com/support/

    Yeah, it’s saying I don’t have a valid license.

I am still using the generate press theme I originally paid for.

Am I not allowed to post questions in that forum if I don’t keep an updated license even though I purchased GP?

That is correct. The renewal cost is strictly for plugin updates and premium support.

    Thanks for your understanding.

yeah, I paid for the theme originally – seems like you could at least point me in the right direction

Unfortunately not – WP forbids us from answering any premium feature in the free theme support forum here.

It wouldn’t be fair for the users who renew their license to receive our support either.

    Thanks for your understanding.
