    Hello,

Thank you so much for this tool. I have really enjoyed using it so far.

I am trying to find out how to use the Nimble site wide header and footer. I have built our home page with Nimble. The Page header and footer option under Current page options is set to Use the active them’s header and footer. When I select other options like inherit the site wide option or Nimble site wide header and footer, everything that I have built on my home page goes away. How can I do a custom header and footer without loosing everything I have done so far?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,
    thanks for your appreciation!

What you’re describing can happen if you’ve added your sections in “zones” that are defined in the theme header (or) footer.

For example, the Customizr theme, the one you’re using on your websites, has 2 zones that are defined one in the theme’s header and the other in the theme’s footer.
Looks like you’ve added your Nimble’s section to the zone defined in the theme’s header they will be shown only if you load the theme’s header (Use the active theme’s header and footer.)

When I select other options like inherit the site wide option

This is weird though, unless you’ve set to use the specific Nimble header and footer in your site wide options…

    Ok, I see.

I went ahead and moved my sections down to another location. Then I tried the Nimble header and footer and everything stayed. So I think that fixed it.

I inserted a new section where it said @location”loop_start”. That’s where I put my sections now. Hope that’s right.

    Thanks.

    Hi @sjh687
yes that location is theme independent too ??

Anyway it’s not that the other locations are not right, they’re just different locations whose availability is defined by the theme and its templates.

Glad you managed to fix your issue ??
Would you mind marking this topic as resolved?

Just a suggestion, the content locations could be made more clear in my opinion. Maybe that is something for a future update. The “loop_start” location was all that I could see besides the header. Maybe the location could be determined in the section settings in the future.

    Thanks for your help.
