Custom Gallery Link preventing page load

We are having a problem with Custom Gallery Link interfering with something on our page. When we activate the plugin the site takes a long time to load. It seems that something is trying to load for several seconds; once that process times out, the rest of the content loads fast. As soon as we deactivate the plugin, the site works correctly.
