    Hello guys,

I’m currently trying to add this plugin, MailChimp For Wp by Iberciode form to a custom html page, in this case a 503.php page – trying to make a maintenance page with a subscribe option.

    the website is https://remoteblue.co

It should redirect you to a 503 page, which may or may not be styled correctly, but the button will be there at least.

The subscription functionality is not working however.

I can add the shortcode to a test-post and it works fine.

I tried using the source code from the test-post page to my custom HTML, and while it displays the input and buttons, its not triggering the subscription.

Is there anything i’m missing here?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Right now the link shows me “Will be online soon”. Not a 503 page, so I was not able to look into this.

If the 503 page is not served by WordPress our plugin will not work. It only works within WordPress.

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks for getting back.

Figured that would be the case, so opted to use Mailchimp form code and embed directly.

For reference to anyone looking for this issue…

My next go-to solution would have been to create a blank template, use it as a post set it as homepage with custom code, use Mailchimp for WP shortcode there, and edit the .htcaccess to redirect traffic from all pages to this custom one.
