I recently moved my site to a new URL, everything seems to have gone well except for one thing. Ohh and I did go and change all the links, updating them to the new site URL including in the admin settings page.

The theme comes with a customizer section to change the main fonts for the entire site. I selected fonts for the title and body text. But those changes did not transfer over to the new site, it just uses the default fonts. No problem I’ll just go into the customizer and set the ones I want, right?

That’s what I thought, I go in, they are already selected and everything looks good. I click publish and customizer exists, bringing me back to the main page. Except it ads a little extra in the URL:

    https://www.MyWebsiteURL.com/?customize_changeset_uuid=762d3294-4a89-46c5-94a0-0f1a16097fcf

With this extra ?customizer_changest…. part everything looks good. As soon as I remove that extra the custom fonts that were there are no more. It goes back to the problem I had with the default font loading, not the ones I picked.

So, to sum it up – I enter customizer and custom fonts display correctly. I exit customizer and they still display as long as that ?customize_changeset_uuid=762d3294-4a89-46c5-94a0-0f1a16097fcf part is at the end of URL.

I view my https://www.MyWebsiteURL.com site and custom fonts don’t display ??

Any idea what’s going on with the customizer and why the changes are not sticking?

I recommend asking at your theme’s dedicated support so the theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

Got it. I thought this had something to do with WordPress customizer feature.
