custom fields only letters are allowed

That is correct as a dot is not allowed in the XML node naming as it will break XML feeds.

I am using “CSV” as feed format (not XML).
Is there a reason why dots arent allowed in CSV Feeds?

Hi Jan,

We double checked and it seemed that Moebel.de added some new fields to their feed requirements in June last year. Amongst those are the “partner.paymentMethods” and “art_bidding.bidDesktop” fields.

We have therefore decided to add all those new fields to the Moebel.de feed template so you don’t have to add those custom fields yourselves. This will also bypass the validation check we do on dots.

All you have to do is update to version 7.3.4 of the plugin. You will find the new fields in the drop-downs:

I created some custom fields and again got this error: “Sorry, when creating new custom fields only letters are allowed (so no white spaces, numbers or any other character are allowed).”
So I deleted all custom fields.
Sadly your Plugin still does not let me save. :-/

It would be a nice feature if the field that causes the error would be highlighted with a red border.

Problems I found:
1. You cant save custom fields like “art_img_url5” even if CSV is selected.
2. You cant save your feed after 1 error occoured. Even if you delete the field that caused the error.

Thanks for your feedback. We have just released a new version of the plugin (7.3.9) that holds the new Moebel.de fields.

Could you update the plugin? Make sure to also de-activate and re-activate the plugin so the new Moebel.de template is being used. Do not delete our plugin as you will lose your previously configured feeds.
