Custom Fields not working

    Hi,

    I have WCK Version 2.1.9(Free) and WordPress 4.9.8 and
    I just noticed having an issue when saving custom fields in the post.
    It would update all fields with the same meta box field but different group name within the same post.

    I have a couple of meta box group(with meta box fields) in a custom type.

    Can you please help me with this?

    First, please update to the latest version 2.2.0

    It’s always recommended to keep all of your software updated.

    Next, I’m not sure if I understand the situation correctly, but it does sound like you have the same field slug for 2 fields.

    It does not matter that they are in 2 different meta boxes, the field slug can’t be the same.

    Hi Gabriel,

    Yes I have the same slug for a couple fields which was working before(I think when it was setup first 2 years ago).

    I tried updating the slug but the wsyiwyg editor it empties the field in the serialize form. Is there anyway I can update the slug and the field would not be emptied?

    Hi there,

    Currently we don’t know of any automatic method to duplicate the content of a custom field like this.

    The fastest way is probably to just copy and paste the content from one to the other.
