  • Are the custom fields enabled in the product pages ? Make sure they are checked off in the option “Product Page Elements (Additional Info) ” under the Basic Option menu.

    Hi, this is confusing.

What do you mean by ‘enabled’ and by ‘checked off’? On that page there is no ‘additional info’ header however I can see under ‘custom fields’ all the fields I have created, but they are hyperlinked – what are you asking me to do exactly??

    Hi

I think what she meant was that you have to check the “custom fields” option under “Options” -> “Basic” -> “additional information”

If you have the premium version one other solution would be (i have that on my site, and i like it very much):

Under “Options” -> “Premium” activate “convert custom slugs”.
Then you can i.e. define a custom field “Color” with the slug “color” and then just use [color] anywhere in your article description. It will be translated to the value of the custom field when displaying the article.

If you enable “hide empty custom fields” under “Premium” then the field will not be displayed, if there is no value for the article.

    Hope this helps ??

Thomymaster – that did! Thank you!

I did it under basic info as I’m not sure what you mean re the slugs… The problem I have now is that the custom fields are only showing up in the ‘tabbed product page’ under the ‘additional info’ tab which I really don’t like. I can’t seem to get them to show up in any of the other options.

Would you mind sharing your site with me? I’m just really struggling with this plugin – I’m not sure why I’m finding it so confusing but it’s driving me crazy!

My site is https://directory.pickandpaleo.co.nz/directory/ – as you can see it’s a total mess!
