    I will look into that this week as I am in the process of making some upgrades and bug fixes. If you could provide a list of additional plugins that would be helpful.

    Hi, yes, happy to help…

    let me see now…. the plugins I use to enhance the user experience are:
    * Theme-My-Login
    * AMR users

    >> Theme-My-Login is easy and provides nice integrated log & registration pages.
    >> AMR-users is for making a display list of members. Nice for having dynamic links under texts, which came from the URA custom fields.

    at this point, everything was going great.

    Then I added one more element for making a super sweet Profile page with user photo or avatar. Unfortunately there really is no ‘quality’ plugin out there in the world for doing this without Gravatar dependency (yechh).

    I deleted that plugin, which was called: Simple Local Avatars

    Thanks,
    C

    Update regarding update custom fields…

    Ok, so after days of messing with every combination… what I’ve discovered is that the User Reg Aide custom fields on the profile page do not express a blank after they have been populated once.

    That is to say… rather than delete completely, an empty space typed in with the spacebar will succeed as an update to custom fields. Or just changing the text succeeds too.

    The Profile page will express the update either right away or a few minutes later. The site page with member list will also express the update after some minutes. But again, only if the emptied custom field has a space type into it.

    If that is an amr-user plugin quirk, I don’t know. The non-custom fields seem to change just fine even when emptied.
