Custom fields issue

    I have created a custom field, set the type as Select and set the Control Type as Checkbox. Now I would expect this field to appear on the New Product page as a multiple selection set of checkboxes, but it shows up as a single select dropdown instead. This is a bug, I guess?

  • Hi henk,

    The custom fields do not allow you to make a selection on the product page. They display information on the product page as well as on the catalog page, and can also be used for filtering.

    The control type sets how a user will be able to filter it on the front end (i.e. in the sidebar on the catalog page). So, the way you have it set it up, the select part means you’ll get a dropdown when editing the product and the user will see checkboxes in the sidebar on the front end.
