    Hi there,

    Congrats for a great plugin!

I’m wondering why I can’t see Custom fields for Invoices?

    Thanks,
    Bole

    Hey @bolerules,

Thanks for your kind words – we’re consistently working on making & keeping it great ?? (https://zerobscrm.com/consistency/)

Re: Custom fields for invoices – Invoices are more complex a data object than quotes, or contacts – and much of the invoicing system (e.g. pdf invoicing, statements etc.) is hard-coded. What would your use case be for custom fields? What do you seek to achieve?

    All the best

    Hi Bole,

Closing this one for now, do let us know here, or via support (https://zerobscrm.com/kb/submit-a-ticket/) if you need any further assistance.

Sorry, but I didn’t manage to answer on WP support portal in time.

However, I can’t send on provided link as I don’t have license key.

If possible I’ll pass it here…

My question was regarding Custom Fields on Invoices as I saw that there was such option. At least I saw it in some articles online. There is visible Invoice in Custom Field tab.

Reason why I need it… I’d like to add some more features (fields) not directly for Invoices but like dispatch notes. I’d like to add, among existing fields, cargo info, vehicle, distance etc. Practically, I’d use invoice form as dispatch note but I need to add some more field in line item.

Also, if possible to customize pdf output of course to include my own custom fields added. I don’t see how to print Quotes for example which would be enough with custom fields.

    Thanks,
    Bole

    Hi Bole,

No worries. You can submit a ticket anytime here, even if you don’t have a key: https://zerobscrm.com/kb/submit-a-ticket/ (just leave the key field blank).

What you’re suggesting makes good sense. If you could do what you’re looking for with quotes, then that might be the best way. It’s kind of like you need a separate object though “dispatch note” assigned to a customer. Later in the year we’ll be releasing an extension which will help with that. For now I’d probably recommend using quotes or invoices as you’ve said you’ve tried.

Invoices will get custom fields within the next 4-6 weeks as we are just starting to rewrite all of these objects (Invoices, Quotes, Transactions etc.) into proper database architecture (until now these have been using old WordPress CPT setup). I suspect Invoices will work for your setup after this, or otherwise I can add a feature request to print/PDF quotes?
