custom fields for alt text

  • I’m trying to fix a problem I’m having with alt text for my site’s images. I’ve added a custom field for the images who are missing alt text, but need to know how to manually enter these changes into the theme. I’m not getting results just by adding a custom theme.
    The images I’m seeing this problem with are the images that are built into the site’s header and require a custom field. Can anyone help?

    It’s a custom theme called “Garlands” and its a WordPress responsive theme.

    I’m trying to figure out what I need to update/where I need to update in php to display the alt text for all of my header images. I’ve entered all of the alt text in the media library, but header images are not displaying this. I created another custom field but its still not showing up
