Hello, I did everything as instructed for the custom fields, but as i select the category on the filter and in the category page filter does not show the custom fields, it stays as it was. ( I also enabled custom field search on the widget settings) What can I do? thanks in advance.

Hi, I think I have experienced the same issue – if I understand your problem correctly.

It may be that you have to select All Categories, or the Category that you assigned the custom field to, in order to have the custom field display in the Search and Filter.

I have 1 primary category, with a 100 or so sub-categories and the custom field/s WILL NOT display in the Search and filter widget UNLESS I select all categories first. I guess it makes sense because as mentioned the Custom fields are assigned at the category level.

    Hope this helps?

Yes you understood it correctly but this strategy didnt work out. Maybe you have any other solution? I have one but it’s also not working because we cannot edit the archive pages, maybe you know how?

    Hello,

@nesuprantu @drosberg Thanks for using our plugin.

Please make sure set the category properly when creating the shortcode then in front end on visiting that category custom fields.

    See https://www.radiustheme.com/docs/faqs/custom-fields-for-filter/

    Also https://www.radiustheme.com/docs/faqs/custom-fields-for-listview/

It should work if not work please create a ticket on our website with URL I will check.

    Thanks
