Custom Fields disappear

I have created a quiz with custom fields and saved it as a template. When I create second quiz from this template and save it, the custom fields in the first quiz is gone. When I reload them from the template again and save – the second one looses all custom fields again. This is only a template issue for custom fields – since I created them manually then they do not disappear.
