First of all, this is a fantastic plug-in and it does most of everything I’ve been hunting down for plug-ins to do.

However there a few things I’m trying to do using this plug-in that it does not seem to support.

In the custom fields markup I noticed it doesn’t like the HTML tag “Source” for example <source>. Is this blocked in the free version and available in the Pro?

I’m basically making it so users can send audio URLs and have it show up as a player. I can get the player to show up which is cool but the source HTML tag is removed once i save. The plugin seems to remove it.

Is there is a list of blocked HTML tags in the Custom Fields markup?

I did find a work around by using the supported audio tag wrapper to use “src=”. Which I honestly didn’t know about. Not sure if all browsers support it though.

I still though would like to know if there are other HTML tags that are restricted at all by the Custom Fields Markup? Or perhaps its WordPress itself that is preventing some tags from being allowed within plugins.

Hey @teabone3, yeah all the tag filtering is happening due to core WordPress functionality. Lots of tags are removed/restricted for security reasons.

In any case glad you found a workaround. Feel free to post again with any further questions, feedback, etc. Glad to help anytime.

Hey Jeff, thanks so much for getting back to me. The audio tag worked out perfectly. I am considering getting your pro version as there is so much versatility to custom fields.

With the pro version or free, can we also change the titles of each field? For example “Your Name” , “Your Email”, “Post Tags” .. etc?

Yes definitely, but the forum rules prohibit any discussion of “pro” plugins (it’s for free versions only). If you want to reach me via the contact form at Plugin Planet, I will be glad to respond asap for any questions about pro. Thank you.
