    Hi Folks

We are using the Wp Geodirectory plugin and have many many custom fields.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/

When we installed your plugin I don’t think its finding any of these fields.

Is there a way for the plugin to search ALL custom fields without having to enter in each one.

On the tab, Look for links in

    under the checkbox

    Custom fields | Configure

    It mentions

Enter the names of custom fields you want to check (one per line). If a field contains HTML code, prefix its name with html:. For example, html:field_name.

It would be impossible for us to manually enter in each one.

    Kind Regards

    Scott

My Developer mentioned the below if this helps you.

Yeah, Custom Fields are a WordPress thing too; often called metadata. That’s used for page/post attributes as a key-value pair:

    Custom Fields

GD doesn’t use them as it’s not possible to search based on metadata for filters fast enough, it stores the data outside of WordPress in it’s own MySQL database.

    Hi @scottrobins

I hope you are doing good today.

I’m afraid it will be not possible at this point with the current version and we do not have plans for updates. However, we’ve just started writing a new version of this plugin a while ago, it’s going to be a basically new plugin with a completely new engine that will check links on the site in a different way and it will cover custom fields as well.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris
