Custom field type: Post reference

  • Hello,

    I’m having a great time creating custom post types, taxonomies and fields.

    I’d like to be able to have a field (singular or repeatable) that is basically a reference to another post (maybe of specific type/s). But the parent/child relationship doesn’t really apply. I do like the way that child posts can select parent posts by typing into a search field in the admin UI. I’m basically asking for the equivalent of a node reference field in Drupal. Does Types have a way for me to do this?

    I have ticket for “entry type field” described almost exactly the same. I hope this field will be introduced in 1.9 (but I can not swear).

    I’m not sure now, we are in the middle of massive redesign. This is priority in our team. But I hope “entry type field” will be available on next or next after next version.
