Custom Field Type : Duration

    Hey!
    I am in need of a Field of Type : Duration which will hold as the name suggests a value of time duration.

    I can learn how to create a field type by looking at how the Core field types were created, but is there some starting point / documentation / tutorial on how i will register my Custom Field Types to put them to use ? Will this be a plugin or a Pods Extension that will add this (and any other) Custom Field Types ?
