Custom Field query_args broken in 4.4

  • Prior to 4.4, I have several Pages that append category postings with a custom field added from the GUI, ex:

    name: query_args
    value: cat=95

    These worked after updating to 4.4, but if you edit the existing custom field, or add a new one – they no longer display. Creating a new page or post with a query_args value does not work.

    This functionality is broken in 4.4
