    Heya

2 questions to this very useful plugin!

    1. I have custom field defined but set not to actually be included in the post (it is the location of a reciprocal link – so its for info to me, not for publishing)

But when I “Edit Post” – I see only these fields:
    _______________________
    User Submitted Post Info
    Submitter Name:
    Submitter Email:
    Submitter URL:
    ________________________
So, I cant actually see what (if anything) was put in the custom field. If i set it to publish the custom field i can “preview” the post and it will print whatever was put in the custom field, but of course thats tedious as I′d then have enable and disable printing on each submission.

Am I blind or where to I make it show the custom field in the post edit info?

    2. Submitter URL – it prints as simply URL. Can I edit that somewhere – say for instance “Post Title” linked to the submitted url would look better/make more sense or even just “Visit The Website” kinda thing. But again, I cant find where to edit it.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks in advance!

    Glad to help:

    1) Normally the custom field is displayed in the Custom Fields meta box on the Edit Post screen for any submitted post that includes a custom field. If it is not displayed there, then it could mean there is a conflict somewhere or possible error in the syntax used in the USP Custom Field setting.

    2) I’m not sure what you are asking, but in general it’s possible to use the shortcode in whatever link or message you want to display. For example, a visit this website link could be added like:

    <a href="[put_your_url_shortcode_here]">Visit the website</a>

I hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any further infos.

Hey. Thank you for the swift and helpful reply

    1. Oki – i am trying disabling other plugins 1 by 1 to see if something interferes somehow. Any other pointers to potential conflict locations?

    2. Ah yes, I was blind. I had missed the URL markup.
