When we receive orders that are the wrong size, there isn’t a way to change the product size without losing all of the field meta data associated with the original product/size combination. When we change the product size, we lose all data associated with that order.

    Hi @gmm2

You can edit the order in the backend and it shouldn’t affect all associated data. Can you share a video of what you do and how it looses all data?

Thank you for responding so quickly.

We’re using a “Grouped” product approach to sports uniforms. The players are ordering their entire kit. When a player wants to change the size of one of the items, (shirt from X Large to Large) we follow the process below, but lose the meta data.

The order begins with 3 pieces of meta data for a uniform: Player Name, Team Name and Player Number. If we use the “Edit” tool button in the Woocomerece backend.

We’re given a modal that allows us to edit the Size Variation of the product.

If we select a new size (variation) of the product, and save, the product record changes from this:

    To this:

Resulting in a loss of all meta data. We don’t know what the player name, team or number is.

Thank you for the reply. I’m sorry to hear that. We’ll try to find a replacement.

FYI, the “numeric” type of field isn’t able to accept a “0” value either.
