you might want to start by making a child theme.

Additionally, for this specific theme, you can use the action hook __before_content in place of loop_start

I used the action hook __after_content_title but now I have another issue to resolve.
The custom field is diplay after the post title, but before the post meta.
Is there a way to show the custom field after the post meta? (before the post content)

I finally found what I’ve searching for!
Just add an upper priority value to the new add_action line for the custom field.
