Custom Field in P2

+1 also interested in this. Especially using p2 with 3.0 custom post_types with multiple custom fields and taxonomies.

I’ve read through the code, but have no clue how to implement this. Are there instructions anywhere online?

There hasn’t been much resolution, but it can guide you to what you need to do. It uses JS to publish the form, which is why it isn’t as easy as I thought.:(

hai, i am trying to create a web page. My requirement is, i want to add the posts on to a sub-category with in a particular category. So i am trying to add a new taxonomy. Is it necessary to add anew taxonomy, or whether i can do it with a custom field. Pleaseeee reply.

I’ve dissected the P2 and prologue themes a million times, mostly P2. I’ve tried to do the same thing, and so many more other things to it, and I found that your better off just pulling pieces of the theme out, and implementing it into another theme you have, because the code for P2 is so intertwined, scattered and very obviously built to do just what it does and that’s about it. I’ve been able to add custom post forms to the form, but it was not easy, and not worth it.
Just some bit of advice. I love that theme, but its driven me nuts lol.
