custom field group ordering within edit post screen

I was wondering whether an update with this functionality discussed a couple years ago ever came out? Or is perhaps planned?
I have a number of reusable custom field groups (like an advertising banner override field group, a group for extra metadata on all article post types, etc.) as well as field groups that are specific to a particular post type. I’d like the field group that is specific to the post type to appear towards the top of the edit page while any extra field groups appear in an order that I’d define, somewhere below the post type-specific field group.
It would be great if the custom field groups could be reordered the same way that the custom fields can be reordered within a group. Are there any plans to do this? Or is it already there and I’m just missing it somehow?
