  • Jetpack CRM allows you to add custom fields to contacts, companies, quotes, invoices, and addresses, but not transactions. You can learn more about that here: https://kb.jetpackcrm.com/knowledge-base/how-to-use-custom-fields-in-jetpack-crm/

Can you tell us more about why you want to add a custom field to transactions and what you’re trying to achieve by doing that? Once we have that information, we can check if there’s an alternative solution.

    Hi JS

    Thank you for your reply.

I have already added a custom field – “Market Date” see https://theunusualearringco.co.za/wp-admin/admin.php?page=zbs-add-edit&action=edit&zbstype=transaction&zbsid=319

I would now like to display it in the Transaction List.

    Hi there, @devcom5155,

Unfortunately we can’t see anything in the link you shared as it’s within your site dashboard and it’s password protected.

You can attach a screenshot in your next reply — but make sure no sensitive data is included.?If you don’t know how to make a screenshot, here’s a quick explanation:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

That said, and to make sure you’re taking the proper steps, follow these steps to add a custom field in the Jetpack CRM transaction list:

    1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Jetpack CRM > Custom Fields.
    3. Click the “Add Custom Field” button.
    4. In the “Type” tab, choose “Transaction” from the dropdown list.
    5. Fill in the “Field-name”, “Display name” (label), and choose the “Field Type” (e.g., Text, Number, Date, etc.).
    6. Click “Add Custom Field” to save your new field.
    7. Now, you can use this custom field when creating a new transaction.

When you create or edit a transaction, you should see the custom field you’ve just created in the Transaction details form. Fill it out as needed, and the information will be saved along with the transaction.

Hope that’s all clear! Let me know how you get on.

It is not allowing me to attach the screen shot, but if you read my message, I have already added the custom field and have capture data for several transactions.

I now want to add that field to the “Transactions” – “View All” display.

You can do that by following these steps:

    1. Go to Jetpack CRM > Transactions.
    2. Click the blue options icon at the top right (it looks like 3 horizontal lines).
    3. Locate the custom field in the “Available Columns” section, and drag it into the “Current Columns” section.

After you’ve done that, the custom field will be shown as a column.

You can learn more about changing columns for contacts, transactions, and other Jetpack CRM functions here:

Thank you – That got me what I wanted.

Now I just need to find how to show just that table for certain users only, without them having to log in.

Do you mean in the Client Portal or in the WP Admin dashboard?

Jetpack CRM does not show custom fields with transactions in the Client Portal. You may be able to change that by adding your own custom code, but that type of code customization goes beyond the scope of our support.

As for the WP Admin dashboard, a log in would be required in order to access that, unless you’re using some other kind of plugin to allow the other types of access to it.

You do have the option of exporting transactions as a CSV file. You could then provide that file to whoever you’d like.
