    Hey,
I am having trouble with two of my price feeds, they are in my local language (Swedish) and because of this some of the characters we have such as “?, ?, ?” won’t show up correctly in the price feed.

Is it possible to change the encoding of the price feeds somehow to fix my issue?`

    Thanks!

@kerex132 If you have made a CSV feed then follow the instruction below or for XML feed send the screenshot of feed configuration and the feed file link.

The feed file is UTF-8 encoded because UTF-8 can encode any type of character and all the merchants require UTF-8 encoded feed file. So You have to open the CSV file with UTF-8 supported test editor or have to configure Microsoft Excel to open a UTF-8 encoded file. Follow the steps outlined below to use Microsoft Excel 2007 to open a .csv file that uses UTF-8 character encoding.

    • Open Microsoft Excel 2007.
    • Click on the Data menu bar option.
    • Click on the From Text icon.
    • Navigate to the location of the file that you want to import. Click on the filename and then click on the Import button. The Text Import Wizard – Step 1 or 3 window will now appear on the screen.
    • Choose the file type that best describes your data – Delimited or Fixed Width.
    • Choose 65001: Unicode (UTF-8) from the drop-down list that appears next to File origin.
    • Click on the Next button to display the Text Import Wizard – Step 2 or 3 window.
    • Place a checkmark next to the delimiter that was used in the file you wish to import into Microsoft Excel 2007. The Data preview window will show you how your data will appear based on the delimiter that you chose.
    • Click on the Next button to display the Text Import Wizard – Step 3 of 3.
    • Choose the appropriate data format for each column of data that you want to import. You also have the option to not import one or more columns of data if you want.
    • Click on the Finish button to finish importing your data into Microsoft Excel 2007.

    Hey @wahid0003
Thanks for your quick reply, I am actually using a .TXT feed, how would I go about solving encoding issues when using a .TXT feed?

@kerex132 For which merchant you’re making the feed?

We are making two different feeds, and both of them are having issues with the following characters “?, ?, ?”

The feeds are for “Prisjakt” and for “Price runner”, both in .txt format.

    Hi,

You have to write the description again. Maybe the currency description has non utf_8 character. It happens when you copy and paste from the file editor to your site.
