Custom domain linked to wrong site

  • I bought a custom domain missadventurerthk.com, then wordpress automatically allocated a free domain name missadventurerthkdotcom.wordpress.com. I thought the free site name sucked so I deleted it and set up the new free name missadventure.wordpress.com and assumed that when my payment for missadventurerthk.com was processed after 72 hours, it would be linked to the new free domain I had created for myself. Instead, it is hooked up to the domain I deleted and when I try to link the domain I payed for to my new free wordpress domain, it says that domain is already taken. I know! By me! 72 hours ago! But there’s nobody to call up and rectify this mistake at wordpress, which should be pretty easy. I obviously made a mistake deleting the first free site domain while I was waiting for the custom one to come through. Now I ONLY have missadventurerthk.wordpress.com.blog.wordpress.com as the access domain, and I deleted that yesterday. I also did some work to the free domain I set up myself which I assumed missadventurerthk.com would automatically link to and I could set it easily as my primary domain. I don’t want to waste another 18 bucks on a new custom domain name which is not as good for me as the one I bought 72 hours ago. But that is the only option I am being given at present. Please help!

    i still don’t understand how your supposed to have helped me. you just redirected me to lo millions of other options. I’ve been on this all day but can’t make head or tail of the questions or the answers I’m supposed tp be understanding. Can I get a refund for the $18 I paid and just cancel the whole thing? Is there somebody I could call and speak to? Please help an old man in English I can understand and preferably a phone no. Ta, J
