Custom CSS to change font size on WP Splash default template?

Rather than making a new template, is there a way I can change the font and font size on the default splash page but putting code into my Custom css? I don’t know code well enough to make my own template. I would also like to remove the thin rule on the default that surrounds the month/day/year.
