    My custom CSS is working on every page except the homepage. I’ve never run into an error like this before. If I make changes in the CSS editor, it will show up, but not on the homepage. I thought it might be a caching problem, but I uninstalled W3 Total Cache so now I’m not sure.

    Here’s a link: dev.kitemedia.org.

    Note: If you’re looking at the site, view the mobile version. The top nav bar appears black on the homepage, but should be light blue like the rest of the pages. That’s the only CSS I’ve changed as of now.

  • What CSS editor are you using? Would help if you could show me a screenshot of where you’re inserting CSS.

    I’m using a CSS editor built into my theme, but I also tried using the Simple Custom CSS plugin.

    Hey there,

    Please try adding your custom CSS using Advanced CSS Editor. Hope it helps.

    The built-in theme editor might be including CSS on individual pages, excluding homepage. Your CSS changes are not present on the homepage at all.

    You can try using Advanced CSS Editor as Suyogya mentioned, or you can also try editing stylesheet directly if you’re using child theme under Appearance > Editor.

    the front page is still cached;

    please ask in the cache plugin’s forum about how to remove the cache totally.

    Hey Michael, thanks for the reply. That’s kind of what I was wondering. I deleted W3 total cache, but that didn’t do it. I’ll ask the question in the plugin forum. Out of curiosity, is there a way to see what is being cached vs what isn’t?

    Thanks Viktor, I’ll try directly editing the style.css

    Definitely a caching issue. I just reinstalled the plugin and then emptied the cache. Thanks.

    Recently, on checking my website, I see that the CSS is not working on my homepage. When I click on my name/logo, the right format comes up but the grey box, which I removed, is visible.

    Perhaps this is occurring since I added “One-Click Child Theme” as I’m about to construct a child theme. I deactivated the plugin but it didn’t change anything.
    I also called my website provider, but that doesn’t seem to be a source of the problem.

    My website is timyoung.ca
