custom content display

hi
i need to display my custom content, associated with each post, in the posts page as seperate from the main post content – please see https://www.lonelyplanet.com/uk as example

i have tried surrounding <?php the_meta(); ?> with a div within the loop.php file, and thought that i could do the same with the rest of the post data, I could then float the divs left and right – this half worked – but to be homest i really didn’t know where to locate the opening and closing parameters of each div for this to work – or i could be way off the mark here – now too tired to think

ps I’m using twentytenweaver loop.php

Any ideas much appreciated
