Custom comment types

  • Is there a way to create custom comment types in wordpress 2.9.1? I would like to create new comment type and add new tab in comments page (like pending, approved, spam and trash) to view all comments with this type separately. This type of comments should be visible next to other ordinary comments on site. Is that possible?

  • I don’t have an answer for this, but I think this is a good idea for a future enhancement in wordpress.

    For example, we get a lot of great testimonials via comments on our blog. If I could specify these types of comments as “testimonials” or “reviews” I could create a dynamic wordpress testimonial page to display them automatically through a loop…

    Great idea for a plugin!
