The checkout page is not seeing a custom gateway that is installed via plugin. The regular checkout page is fine

  • @dshan – Thanks for checking out the preview for the new Cart and Checkout blocks! As noted in the release post, currently the blocks support a limited number of payment methods. We definitely do plan a on supporting a larger number as we iterate on the blocks (and hope third party payment method providers will build integrates as well over time), but this will take time (which is why the Blocks are not being considered for WooCommerce core yet).

We know in their current state they won’t be usable by folks using unsupported payment methods so we are monitoring the feedback to help prioritize what we work on next.

    I hope that helps!

Hey @jricketts4 , please provide me support with the “Razorpay” payment gateway. I’ve shown the new cart and checkout pages to my client and they really want to go ahead with that UI as that looks good. Now that I told them that the plugin doesn’t support the payment gateway they’re pretty much turned off from the checkout process. In India most of the new E-Commerce websites use Razorpay as their primary payment gateway. It’d be of great help if you could help me out here. Thanks.

Thanks @jricketts4. Do you have a timeline on this? Clients will be asking why they can’t implement the new interface. I’d like to advise them on a timeline, its important for our contractual arrangements to provide timelines for support etc.

    Let me know.

@dshan & @nikhiljdhv – The Cart and Checkout blocks are still only previews, so development is still underway. If you’d like to keep an eye our on issues related to these specific payment gateways being added, I’d suggest watching out on the GitHub repository: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gutenberg-products-block/issues

At this time, I’m unable to provide a timeline for any additional payment gateways. If you’d like to create an issue for added support for your payment gateways, feel free. Be sure to include all of the required information, including details as to why these should be prioritized.

I am not a developer, so I’m not making any assumptions as to if/when some payment gateway support will be added.

I’m going to go ahead and set this to Resolved though, as it’s not so much an issue as it is a feature request.

    Thanks!
