In my case the settings for the chatbot in the backend tab “ChatGPT”, like the “Welcome Message” are not applied to the chatbox shortcode. I have integrated the chatbox on this page here https://subseo.de/seobot/ via shortcode . The settings that i have done in the backend, apply only to sidewide widget if i enable this. So i have to edit manually the file “/admin/extra/wpaicg_chatbox.php” to have it display my custom “welcome Message” on that page using the shortcode. Also the model ist set to “text-davinci-003” as default instead of “gpt-3.5-turbo” in the “$default_setting = array” in that file.

So there are two different settings page.. one for widget and another one for shortcode..

If you are using widget: you need to set it up from Settings – ChatGPT tab.

If you are using shortcode: you need to set it up from plugin left menu ChatGPT – Settings.

Can you check pls which one you are configuring?

Yes I think I will move and combine all chat related settings in one page as I see that its confusing many users.
