    Hi there,

I don’t like to have numbers in the short slug. Is it possible to set custom characters? Can we do it in the pro version? Or using custom function code, without changing your plugin core?

For example, “acemnorsuvwxz” instead of “0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz”.

    Hi @engrrajonahmed,

Thank you for reaching out. The slug for the Pretty Links can be changed by you when setting up the pretty link, so if you’d like to not include numbers in the slug then you could change the slug by editing the pretty link on the Pretty Links page (Wp-Admin -> Pretty Links): https://share.cspf.co/RBuz0Dem

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me. However, it seems my previous explanation may not have been clear enough. Let me make another attempt to convey my question.

“Pretty Links” auto-generate slugs for selected post types. Well, in that case, the plugin uses a set of characters “0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz”.

However, I want the plugin to generate slugs automatically but it should use my custom character set. For example, “acemnorsuvwxz”.

Moreover, I don’t want to change the slug manually as you suggested. I hope my query is clearer now.

Additionally, if it is not possible to achieve this by using the free version, I would love to purchase the pro version.

Apart from that, I love Pretty Links.
