Custom Capability

  • I would like to know where to start if i am interested in creating/editing my own capability, (as in the wordpress “roles and capabilites”, not a generic functionality).

  • I second the request.
    Capabilities are not well covered.

    If it is your blog and you are the admin created during the install – you have all the capabilities. Why would you want to edit it?
    There was a stupid case recently when somebody edited his own capabilities (as admin) just to end up not being able to perform basic tasks… because he played with the capabilities.

    For the capabilities of other users try the Role Manager plugin. But, please, do not second a “not-so-clever” request about editing yourself out from your own admin panel ??

    I’m not sure what you are looking for. There used to be a Role Manager plugin, not sure if it still works in the latest WP.
