Custom Buttons Sets Do Not Work

I followed the steps to create a new button set that just displayed Pinterest. I assigned it in the hover tab…cleared my cache, but no matter what, all three social media buttons show up. I changed the location of the items, the orientation, but no matter what I tried, the same three social media icons showed up, even though on my button set, only Pinterest was activated. Any help would be appreciated!
