    When using the standard buttons, everything *seems* fine, but when I input a URL to any custom button, it displays zoomed/enlarged on the screen, which slightly fuzzes the custom button image text.

    For example, I used a 150px image and it enlarged it to 183px on the screen. So I thought it needed 183px by default, so I redid the custom button to 183px and it enlarged to 226px on display. No idea why this is happening, but here is my scenario:

    using shortcode
    using custom button URL feature
    image is .jpg

    Hi @slango,

    Your theme is overriding the settings and making the image appear larger. If you want to post the URL of your site here with the link to where your what your buttons are on. I can take a look.

    Thanks,

    It can’t be the theme, as I’ve done some more research and the default Paypal buttons display *exactly* the same way in the admin “Settings – Paypal Donation” page, with or without the theme enabled. The front-end theme should have no effect on the WordPress admin dashboard area, but I am being thorough.

    I just *thought* the default Paypal buttons were the same size as displayed, but when you look at the actual files on the server, they too are smaller than expected. The smallest Paypal image (downloaded from the server) is actually 74px wide (near unreadable on a 1080p laptop) when you download it, but it displays as 93pix on the WP admin Settings screen. It’s so small to be unusable on a very high-resolution screen.

    It’s the same for all the default Paypal buttons, and I’m thinking this is a feature of the program, as it obviously stores smaller images than the display size (both in the Admin settings screen and on a webpage), maybe to save bandwidth and speed up page loading?

    Can you look at it on your end and see if the actual default button files (either on the server or “right-click save-as”) are smaller than the button displayed in the Settings – Paypal Donation screen?

    Hi @slango,

    The default button images are displayed true to their size. The plugin does not change their size at all. This is for both the admin setting page and the frontend.

    If you can please link me to your page, I can take a look.

    I figured out what was going on, and I am currently using a GIF, along with checking a few of the Paypal Donation Advanced options, and it’s back to normal.

    I have a feeling that something about the Theme was interfering, even with it unloaded, but this has fixed it up both for the default and custom buttons.

    Thanks.
