Custom availability calendars?

  • I’m looking for plugin/custom code suggestions for a client request I’ve never faced:

    My client runs a specialty employment website for freelancer workers. He’s looking to add a searchable “availability calendar” for potential employers.

    He’d like it to work like this:

    ? Members (freelancers) visit a dedicated calendar page that displays the next three-months with a check box on each day. On this page members can apply check-marks to any days on which they are available.

    ? Employers visit a dedicated search page, enter the date(s) on which they need help, and are then shown a list of all matching members (who’ve indicated that they are available on that day). There are no options to book the freelancers (the site does not manage bookings at all). Employers just get a list of names with contact information.

    There’s more to it of course, but this is the part I have no idea how to implement.

  • Unfortunately, this forum is here for users to get support for code offered here on wp.org which includes the code in the theme and plugin repositories… not for getting consulting help for paying projects.

    That said, I do not know of a plugin that is available in the repository that would allow this without extra custom coding added on top of the plugin.

    No worries. Many people don’t understand that. Hope you’re able to find a solution without needing custom code.
