Custom Archive Template for Custom Post Type

Hi there,

I’m fairly new to WordPress so please bare with me. I know there is another post on this topic but I didn’t entirely understand the solution.

For example, I’ve created a custom post type named Flash Devices (flash_devices) to add products under this category. I wanted to customize the archives template from just looking like a blog post. I want it to just display all the products in that category. I tried making a custom archive template and named it archive-flash_devices.php but it doesn’t seem to be linking properly and nothing happens.
