Custom Add to Cart Button

  • Hi,

    On my product page I have a Buy now button which when a user clicks it adds the item to the basket and takes them directly to the checkout page.

    However I want to create a add to basket button next to the product so that it the user can click add to basket and it will allow them to continue browsing.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction to do this?

  • Hi,

    It really depends on the theme you are using. By default wooCommerce provides the add-to-cart button which only adds items in the Cart. If you are using any other plugin to create the buy now button then you should modify that or modify your theme template to show both buttons.

    Add to cart or go to checkout page directly is an option in the settings.

    But I think that it’s better to go to cart directly because every little chance for customers to forget that they have to pay is a chance to lose them.

    And anyway when they arrive on checkout page after adding a product, there is a CONTINUE SHOPPING button, but at least if they really wanted to pay they can do it immediately !
