• Hi,

I’m using the Mimbo theme which requires the use of a custom field (Image)to place an image in the front page.

However, since I started using the WP-Video plugin, all the videos put on the blog with it become keys in the custom field dropdown list. Now the list is so crowded and fool of youtube addresses that the Image field is not even listed! If I type “Image” in the alternative key field, it works; but even that field is getting shrinked by the dropdown list size. Check the image.

Is there a way to work around this? I believe I can’t delete the other keys or I’d lose the videos in the posts. Can’t the dropdownlist be disabled or just show the “Image” key?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  • I’m looking for the same answer…

I found this in the Codex, but I’m not sure how to apply it. (It says to use a particular piece of code in the uninstall files for a particular plugin, but that doesn’t make so much sense in this context.)

    Any ideas?

Just found this, too… Problem with Custom Fields… seems to be resolved for them.

I just tried the solution offered above, and it worked to delete the extra keys. I used the WP-DBManager plugin to do the edits, by the way, and it worked great.

I don’t know if this’ll work for you, since it sounds like you want to display only certain keys, but it works for deleting them, that’s for sure.

That piece from the Codex might be the trick for you, though… or, maybe this thread has your answer. Good luck.
