Cursor in first field as default

I’m using Contact Form 7 using Spark 3.1 as my theme.
I made a small two-field form and am trying to focus the cursor on the first field as someone enters the page.
Most have been asking for the form name which I believe is either contact-form-7 or a code ‘wpcf7-f180-p16-o1’. My first field name is ‘user-keyword’.
I’ve been testing in Chrome 23 and IE9.
How can I do this? I’ve tried several methods (javascript, html, html5 etc) and can’t get this to work.
