current year up to a certain date

    Do you have any ideas for how to do this?

    I want to put a deadline date on my website that will roll over to the following year after a certain date, for example, assume today is December 2015, so I want to say that the Deadline is Feb 1, 2016, but after feb 1, 2016 I want to display that the deadline is Feb 1, 2017.
