When I click on Edit Profile on an existing member, the form is showing empty fields, when the profile have data recorded on those fields. I can see the current values on the profile page, but the form isn’t getting that data as default values for the fields.

I face the same issue when I enter to the My Account Page. I should see my first and last name, my email and my username, but I see empty fields.

I tried to setup default values using fields meta keys, but I can’t get this working.

Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong.

    Thanks!

    Hi @ratalinux

Are you able to provide a video clip so we can see the issue clearly and will try to reproduce it on our end? Also, could you please confirm what version of UM you’ve installed on your site?

    Regards,

Here too in 2.1.19 on 2 wordpress fresh install and custom installation.

But i’m not experiencing the problem on 2.1.16 upgraded to 2.1.19 i’m just writing to help who started the topic.

    Hi @ratalinux

Could you please try running the custom meta table migration? Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > Misc > check the “Enable custom table for user meta” and then click on the button “Run”. Let’s see if this resolves the issue.

Hi @champsupertramp, thanks once again for your reply.

I’ve done what you requested, but unfortunately the issue remains exactly the same, with empty fields, both on the edit profile form and on the my account form.

Is there anything else we can do?

@andreacom thanks for your input! Two questions:

    1. You mean that this issue isn’t showing on the 2.1.16 version of UM?
    2. Have you tried what @champsupertramp suggested (the “Enable custom table for user meta” thing) at your end?

    Thank you all ??

    1) maybe it’s just me but i don’t see that issue on 2.1.16 [that lately i updated to 2.1.19]
    2) i was no able to create that custom table on 2.1.19 but i was able to 2.1.16

    Hi @ratalinux

    Sorry for the late response.

Does this issue occur with UM as the only active plugin? Also, have you created any customization with UM hooks?

Please feel free to re-open this thread by changing the topic status to “Not Resolved” so that we can get back to your topic.

    Regards.

    Hi @champsupertramp!

Your last reply lead me to the source of the problem. I’m on my way to implement what you suggest here: Dynamically Populate Register form fields from URL parameters.

If I remove the code (I use this plugin to insert php code: Code Snippets) by disabling the code snippet, the edit form displays current data as expected.

    Any advice?

    Thanks!

    Hi @ratalinux

I’ve updated the code in the tutorial. Please try it and let me know if you’re still having issues.
