  • After the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data issue, they restricted access to their platform so app review required for every app.
Since submitting app for review is a complicated and time consuming task, we are working on alternative method. But that require verification of our app from Facebook, once they approve our app ,we will release the updated plugin which doesn’t require any app configuration.
Thanks for your feedback and support.

I’ve also gone through the process of trying to setup this plugin for Facebook and have hit the same roadblocks. So it’s just about impossible to setup this plugin to work with Facebook at the moment.

May I suggest you update your plugin documentation to say that this is a plugin for Twitter & Linkedin social sharing only, otherwise you are misleading people. Up until the point IF, and WHEN you manage to get your plugin working with Facebook again.

I understand facebook has removed the API to post to personal pages, i need to use this for a company page, does it have the same issue?

I know Hootsuite have the same problem and dropped facebook as they no longer allow posting to ANY personal pages (even if the app is cleared)…

    Input on this?

We have almost completed implementation of new solution for auto publishing.
There are 2 options in the new plugin ,
one is to submit your app for review(required permissions- manage_pages and publish_pages) and get it approved(See steps : https://help.xyzscripts.com/docs/social-media-auto-publish/faq/how-can-i-create-facebook-application/)
second is to use our pre-approved app (This is a hosted service and hence requires payment )

We have released the updated premium plugin and WP Facebook Auto Publish plugin ,Social media auto publish shall be updated soon.

Thank you for the feedback and support.

I completed my basic app approval process, but they are asking to complete company registration details. How can I bypass that?

    from Facebook Login Changelog:

In order to help protect people’s data, we’re now requiring that an increased number of permissions go through the App Review process. For certain permissions, we are also requiring business verification and a contract between your business and Facebook. Businesses can be verified by providing forms of documentation including utility bills, business licenses, certificates of formation, articles of incorporation, tax ID numbers, and others. The contract introduces additional security requirements and other provisions around data.
