• Alright, so I’ve learned a lot about WordPress over the past week when somebody suggested I use it to build a website for a company a friend and I own. But I can’t figure this one out – hoping someone will come through for me!

On the site (https://qcs.gocambusiness.com), I’m using a navigation architecture similar in form to the one on on apple.com – Like this:

    Parent1 Parent2 Parent3 Parent4 Parent5

So if we select Parent 3, we get something that looks like this:

    Parent1 Parent2 (Parent3 Selected) Parent4 Parent5
    Childof3#1 Childof3#2

I’ve tried a lot of different things, but I can’t, for the life of me, get it so that if we’re in “Childof3#1”, the navigation bars for Parent3 and Childof3#1 are both in the “Current Page Item” style:

    Parent1 Parent2 (Parent3 Selected) Parent4 Parent5
    (Childof3#1 Selected) Childof3#2

One thing I did try was the fold-page Plugin but I don’t think it liked the inline tag. Either way it became too complicated to style.

Any thoughts? Or maybe some advice w/ fold-page? Again, the site is https://qcs.gocambusiness.com

  • If you use the fold page plugin, then for the Parents3 it should have a “current_page_ancestor” class (or something along that line), so it is possible to style it the way you want.
