Current month title missing from top of calendar

The Events Calendar monthly view does not have a title showing the current month. There is navigation for the next and previous month, but no current month title.

Also, in the top right corner of the month view, there is a box that says “Events in… Date”. If I navigate to the next or previous month, this information displays properly–e.g. Events in 2014-08. It does not display properly on the initial viewing of a month.
