Current category is hightlighted only when in archive. Why?

  • I used this code in stylesheet.css 

    #nav li.current-cat a {
    background:#ffffff;

    text-decoration:none;
}

    and current category is hightlighted but only in Archives. When in the post of this category, it’s not. Why?
